This unit is suited to Year 11 and 12 students at Continuers level and IB.  It aims to provide students with an understanding of relationships and attitudes to marriage  in the Chinese context. Feichengwurao is a popular Chinese dating TV show which has been running for the last 4 years.  Since the show is about  marriage and relationships, it has drawn the  attention of academics and foreign media. This course uses extracts from this show to give students an insight into what kind of partner young people in China today are looking for.

It also features two songs about the difficulties both men and women face in finding a partner. 

The course asks  students to compare their own hopes and aspirations about their ideal future partners with those of young people in China today.
